Jim ’n’ I
Jim ’n’ I are Jim Gillies and Sherry Aldrich, who met 30 years ago on a Thunder Bay
open stage, and have been active members of Local 591 Canadian Federation of
Musicians for 26 years.
Making music together has led these community minstrels to repeat invitations from a
variety of venues locally and across the country. The musicality of Jim and Sherry has
diversified over the years to include working individually, as artist educators in schools,
as well as offering the therapy of music in health care.
Sherry and Jim have become familiar faces in the region, and will be appearing this
year at the CLE’s Kids’ World in Thunder Bay, at the Blueberry Blast in Nipigon, and
concluding a busy summer of performances at the Hymers Fall Fair on Labour Day
weekend. Jim ’n’ I are honoured to be invited to play a part in the Bluegrass Festival,
and are excited to share the music … for the health of it |
